 THE FRUITFUL WOMAN

As we begin our new series The FRUITFUL Woman, I want to ask you to come to the table with a humbled heart. Ask God to speak to you. To guide you and show you where you need to grow. Come with a willingness, and an eagerness! My prayer is to glorify God, and my desire is to help you and challenge you to say YES to Him. So please, let Him speak to you.

Now, let's dive right in to Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (self-control)..."

Notice the divine order God placed these attributes in, with LOVE being the first. I truly believe the foundation of our Christian walk, the pillar of our faith, and the greatest commandment all points toward LOVE!

 Why is love so important?
How does it apply to me as a FRUITFUL Woman?
Who am I supposed to show love to?
What is the Biblical definition of love?

Questions that we will look into!

 Today let's start with:
 1. What is the Biblical definition of love?
Open your Bible to 1 Corinthians 13. Read the entire chapter. In verses 4-8 we see what love truly is.

Charity (love) is: long- suffering, kind, content, humble, well-behaved, its selfless, patient, thinks positively, a truth seeker, bears- believes- endures.

Love is not a mushy feeling that is here today and gone tomorrow. Love is an action. Love is a decision. And most importantly, Love is the byproduct of a relationship with God.

You see, God is love. So if you are spending time with God, you are spending time in Love. Love is a reflection of your time with God. How is your relationship with God?

When I hear wives griping about their husbands, naming all their failures, and saying they dont love them anymore- I want to know, how their relationship with the God of Love is.

When I see moms complaining about their children and yelling and jerking them around aggressively- I want to know when was the last time they had quite time with the God of Love.

When friends are gossiping about another friend, tearing that person apart- I want to know when was the last time they opened the Words of God and let the God of love speak to them.

Have you been negative, critical, unkind, judgmental, inpatient, rude, frustrated, and out of control with your thoughts, tongue, and attitude? Then you may need to evaluate your relationship with the God of love.

When we spend time with Him, we begin to take on His attributes and attitude. Love becomes a part of us because that is Who He is. We can not have a solid relationship with God and not love people. Love became a part of us!

As we prepare to close for the day; read 1 John 4:7:10 and focus on verse 8. Memorize that verse today and let it settle in your heart.

Who do you need to show love to today? As a FRUITFUL Woman we can not please God and honor Him if we do not love. Blessings friends!
