Totally in Tuesdays

ARISE and Go in DEEPER with God Friends, we have been given a rare, golden opportunity to go in DEEPER with God. God has cleared our schedules,  our calendars,  our weekends, and our distractions. For years, you have probably said that you would spend more time with God if you had more time...well here it is. He has given you TIME. The biggest excuse we all hold on to has now been wiped out. We now have time.  How will you use this extra time God has granted you?  Will you find something that has no eternal value to fill it?  TV Facebook  Social Media Laziness Worry Procrastination  Or will you fill that extra time with the One Who can make the difference?  Imagine extra time to- Read your Bible through its entirety  Pray and become a prayer warrior Meditate on Him Study the Bible Memorize Scripture  At the end of this pandemic,  what do you want that extra time to have been filled with? I hope you will choose HIM.  Will you ARISE and go in DEEPER with God dur

Them Bones Gonna Walk

Image
Let me be completely transparent with you. I had a whole different topic planned for today's post. I was excited about it. It was going to be so good, I could feel it. Then early last night, the Lord said, "No. Dry bones." I'll admit, I tried to argue with Him. I said, "God, most everyone already knows this story. How can I possibly write anything on it that hasn't already been written?" As you well know, arguing with the Lord is always done in vain. I submitted to his will, and at this very moment, I'm still not sure how this is going to pan out. I am placing all of my trust in Him. I've done my research, read and re-read the passage, written my notes, prayed for direction. So, here we go. Bear with me as I say, "Yes, Father. Ezekiel 37 it is." I know this passage well. I've heard lessons on it. I have taught Bible studies on The Valley of Dry Bones. Most of us are familiar with the Lauren Daigle song, "Dry Bones." Thi

The Darkest Valley

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me.” Many of us are familiar with the passage of Psalm 23 from learning it in church, or maybe even from a funeral scene in a movie.   I wonder, though, how many of us have really explored a specific word in it? “...though I walk THROUGH the darkest valley.   (Some versions say “Through the Shadow of Death.”) Through, used as a preposition in this sentence, means 2 things.                           1) moving in one side and out of the other side of a location,                           2) continuing in time toward completion of a process or period.   Zero in with me on ‘ moving and continuing .’   Did you notice these words have nothing to do with staying still?    They are action words. I say this because we need to realize when we are facing trials, difficulties, or uncertainties, we are not STUCK or STATIONARY in them.    We are

Going into a storm, currently In a storm, or just coming out of a storm.   Doesn’t it seem like at all times in our lives we fall into one of these categories?   I know it does for me.   I bring up storms today because of a conversation I was recently having with my husband, Doug.   Perhaps it was because he kept hearing me say things like “the enemy was attacking, the enemy did this, the enemy was lying etc.”  As if everything that had happened was to the credit of satan.  Don’t misunderstand me, now, because I know satan is here to steal, kill, and destroy.  That’s all he is here to do.  I want you to be reminded or enlightened to the fact that God is in the midst of this… for a reason.   Being the smart guy he is, Doug said something along the lines of “…don’t forget that God may be allowing you to have these ‘attacks’.”  Awwww man, that’s right… I had completely forgot about that part.   Why did he have to bring that up…Ugh!!!  My mind immediately wa

Arise and go DEEPER with God  I'm so exited to share this new series with ya'll. I hope it will be a blessing and encourage you to go deeper with God and shine brighter for Him. The next few weeks I will share a few points from my book, Sparkle and Shine, and add some new fresh thoughts the Lord has recently laid on my heart. I hope you will tune in each Tuesday and allow God to speak to your heart! My desire is for each of us to go totally in with God. Awake Arise and Shine Ladies, it’s time. It’s time to get up and go out and let our Lights shine for the Lord. We were not given our Light so that we could keep it to ourselves in the comfy-cozy, safe environment of our homes. God did not start a flame in our hearts so that that we could build a fire at home and enjoy it with just our families. Nope, He calls us to go out into the Highways and the Hedges, to the outcast and the destitute, to the poor and to the weak. He challenges us to follow Him and share His Ligh

Marriage Ain't Easy- Let it go!

Image
Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone is doing great today! Today I want to talk about letting it go. This is going to sound kind of cliche but the words from Frozen's Let It Go really do have some solidarity to them. Lol Let it go, let it go, can't hold it back anymore. I know, I know, now you are singing the song...sorry! We have a terrible habit of holding grudges especially in relationships and marriage. If we could learn to let stuff go, we would probably not have as many divorces in America. We need to learn to talk it out-don't hold it back. If you have to wait for a day or two after an argument to process it and then talk about it without yelling then do so, but don't hold it in for too long. The longer you hold on to a hurt the more it festers and then becomes something way bigger then it was probably ever intended to be. It took me a long time to understand this but man once you get it, it will change your marriage and relationships in general. You guys com

💐Single Gals Saturday💐  Ruth is one of my favorite books of the Bible. It’s very short. So short, even, that some of you may have always skipped right past it. But there is a cornucopia of Truths packed into those few little chapters. It is a story of love, integrity, loyalty, redemption, humility, and obedience.  Ruth was a young widowed Moabite woman, who chose to selflessly follow her embittered mother-in-law, Naomi, to Judah and live after her husband had died. She could have returned to her homeland, just as her sister, Orpah, chose to do. It would have been difficult, after losing her husband, to not want to just turn and high-tail it back to the place she’s always known, with her own mother and father. She could have left behind the uncertainty and difficulty of her current situation and returned to familiarity and comfort (ring any bells?) where she might have very well found a new husband, had children, and never looked back on Naomi.  It may have been easier. And we l

*Follower of Christ Friday*  "OPEN YOUR EYES"  “Why can’t I be more pretty, smart, skinny, successful, spiritual ?  “Why can’t we have a new car, a new TV, a new phone, more money in general? ”    “God, why don’t I get well, get promoted, get out of this town?”  “God, when is he / she going to change, grow up, quit being lazy, stop being hateful etc..  Mumble, Grumble, Question, Complain.  We all have those moments when we see everything NOT going the way we want.  Whether you are a glass half full or half empty, and the above list is in no way exhaustive, I think we have all found ourselves asking these type of questions from time to time.  You know it’s a mindset.  Truly! A vantage point.  When I think of perspective I am always reminded of the book,  The Noticer, by a uthor Andy Andrews. In it, a homeless man named Jones, who while living on the beach and enjoying sardines and crackers helps another character see a different perspective. One that
