*Totally in Tuesdays* By Dorothy Gates  THE FRUITFUL WOMAN  As we begin our new series The FRUITFUL Woman, I want to ask you to come to the table with a humbled heart. Ask God to speak to you. To guide you and show you where you need to grow. Come with a willingness, and an eagerness! My prayer is to glorify God, and my desire is to help you and challenge you to say YES to Him. So please, let Him speak to you.  Now, let's dive right in to Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (self-control)..."  Notice the divine order God placed these attributes in, with LOVE being the first. I truly believe the foundation of our Christian walk, the pillar of our faith, and the greatest commandment all points toward LOVE!  Why is love so important?  How does it apply to me as a FRUITFUL Woman?  Who am I supposed to show love to?  What is the Biblical defi...

Marriage Mondays

Image
~Marriage Ain’t Easy Monday~  Hey Ladies, I hope you have had a great wknd. I have been under the weather most of the weekend and still not feeling great today. I got a text from one of my co workers asking if I was alive today because I didn’t go to work. Lol I never call into work, so if you wouldn’t mind just saying a little prayer for me today, I would greatly appreciate it. This post is not going to be an easy one to swallow but just know I am talking to me too! Today, I just want to talk you guys about being contentious or argumentative. The Bible says in Proverbs 21:9: Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, than in a house with a contentious woman. The Bible is saying that no one wants to live in a house with a woman that is constantly picking fights and wanting to argue. The same thing goes with nagging our husbands. The Bible says in Proverbs 19:13 A foolish son is the ruin of his father, And the contentions of a wife are a continual dripping. You know that ann...

Totally in Tuesdays- The FRUITFUL Woman

Image
*Totally in Tuesdays* By Dorothy Gates The closer we are to God, the more we resemble Him. The more time we spend with Him, the more we reflect Him. Does your life, character,  personality, and heart resemble or reflect Christ? Do people see Him, hear Him, or feel Him when they are around you? Do your words sound like His words? Do your actions look like His actions? Do you desires reflect His desires? Does your life bare witness that you are a Righteous Woman? Matthew 7 declares that by your fruits you shall be known! People shouldn't have to guess if you are a Kingdom woman! Your life, heart, character and personality should be a testament to that. I'm going to begin a series called "The FRUITFUL Woman." During this time we will look at the Fruits of the Spirit and see how are lives line up with God. I pray it will challenge us to look in the Mirror of the Word and see our heart's true reflection.  Does our heart reflect Christ or ourselves? A...

Meet Whitney Putnam

Happy Montivational Monday friends! On this rainy, dreary Monday, I want to share one of the most motivational ladies I know, Whitney Putnam. Whitney is a pastor's wife, mom to 3 beautiful blonde little girls,  writer for the Gospel Project, author of Imperfectley Brave, the founder of Imperfectley Brave Ladies Conference, and a woman on a mission. Whitney is not afraid to chase down God size dreams and has the gift to inspire others to chase their dreams down too. I first met Whitney when my family moved to Kansas City and we attended the church where her husband pastors. Her undenying love for God, her wisdom, and her faithfulness to follow God impacted me for life. Whitney recently wrote this post on her Instagram page and I asked her to share it with us. Please read and see a little bit of Whitney's heart!!! Whitney Putnam: Thoughts on being a working mom (and not being a working mom): I’ve cared too long and too hard about what my fellow moms think. Stop. Care ...

Meet Jessica Winston

Image
It is our honor and privilege to introduce to you, Ms. Jessica Marie Winston. Jessica is thirty-six years old and she is a native of New Albany, MS. Jessica's story is one that every woman can relate to in one way or another; she just wanted to be loved. After a failed marriage, the loss of her child due to a miscarriage, and the loss of vision in her left eye due to diabetes, Jessica realized that she was in a dark place. Having been in church since the age of three, Jessica began to rely completely on the Lord to deliver her from depression, promiscuity, anger, and not having the ability to forgive those who had hurt her. When she asked the Lord for help, He began to heal; When the Lord began to heal, Jessica started to have hope. The storms began to cease, the dark clouds faded away, and the "Son" began to shine in her life. Jessica then set out, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, to motivate other woman with encouraging words, hugs, and by praying for their deliveran...

Wisdom Wednesday

Wisdom Wednesday is brought to you today by Brie- Brienne Bishop from our RS Crew. We are so fortunate to have her on our committe as well as one of our regular writers God sure blessed us when He sent Brie our way. She has a love for God and a passion to help others. I pray you will find her post as much of a blessing I have. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. Romans 12:1-2 1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. I have read and r...
